new independent film releases
Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic Roger Ebert returns to television with ROGER EBERT PRESENTS AT THE MOVIES, a fresh, updated and re-imagined version of the highly rated – and often imitated – Sneak Previews. That iconic series, on the air for a record-setting 35 years, remains the gold standard for movie criticism on TV. This latest incarnation features reviews of new movies, foreign and independent films, and direct-to-TV releases; showcases classic movies and hot-button issues in the cinema; and includes new segments devoted to new media, movie interactivity and fresh perspectives. The series also marks the return of the “Two Thumbs Up” ratings system made famous by Ebert and Siskel and Richard Roeper. Ebert, with the aid of a computer-generated voice technology, hosts a video essay or reviews a film in every episode. In addition, Ebert’s hand-picked critics represent an exciting new generation of film expertise, web savvy and diversity. The principal co-hosts include film critic Christy Lemire of the Associated Press and film bloggers, Kim Morgan (MSN, Huffington Post and Entertainment Weekly) and Omar Moore, a lawyer, film critic and editor of www.popcornreel.com.

Study Indie Movie Trailer – New Independent Film

Official Movie Site and Trailer for the independent film Study: www.studythemovie.com Follow Study on www.facebook.com www.twitter.com Study is an individualistic and psychological film. It follows a psychology student in the week before his final exam, discovering his life and exploring his mind. Starting on Monday, in the middle of his room, the student tries to study surrounded by his past and his present, obsessed by the concept of life and death, and tortured by the eternal struggle between science and religion. Each day is a distinct representation of how the student’s behavior can be influenced by interpersonal relationships and subsequently by society. His consciousness is revealed through a combination of memories, emotions and motivations in a six-day span, while one day is entirely focused on his unconscious cognitive processes. As the days go by, different people and situations interfere with exam preparation, leading the student to cross the line that separates him from his studies. Study © All Rights Reserved.

Introducing Android Honeycomb

[youtube hPUGNCIozp0]

3.1 Honeycomb was announced at the 2011 Google I/O on 10 May 2011. One feature focuses on allowing Honeycomb devices to directly transfer content from USB devices.

3.2 Honeycomb is “an incremental release that adds several new capabilities for users and developers”. Highlights include optimization for a broader range of screen sizes; new “zoom-to-fill” screen compatibility mode; capability to load media files directly from the SD card; and an extended screen support API, providing developers with more precise control over the UI.

Android is an operating system for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. It is developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google. Google purchased the initial developer of the software, Android Inc., in 2005. The unveiling of the Android distribution on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 84 hardware, software, and telecommunication companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. Google released most of the Android code under the Apache License, a free software license. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android.
Android consists of a kernel based on the Linux kernel, with middleware, libraries and APIs written in C and application software running on an application framework which includes Java-compatible libraries based on Apache Harmony. Android uses the Dalvik virtual machine with just-in-time compilation to run compiled Java code. Android has a large community of developers writing applications (“apps”) that extend the functionality of the devices. Developers write primarily in a customized version of Java. There are currently more than 250,000 apps available for Android. Apps can be downloaded from third-party sites or through online stores such as Android Market, the app store run by Google.
Android was listed as the best-selling smartphone platform worldwide in Q4 2010 by Canalys
